Scenic sunset view
We noticed again this year many trees cut down for planting corn.
A rocky corn field.
The men tell us that rocky land holds the moisture better for crops.
Weeding the corn is done by hand with a hoe.
The Kekchi are hard working people.
A woman carrying a load with her baby on her back too.
How the Kekchi community work together always touches our hearts.
These desks were borrowed from the local school for a wedding celebration.
Quite a heavy load!
The Kekchi are very hospitable people.
We always get fed a meal when visiting in their homes.
Galen returned from one church carrying a large sack.
“Here’s a gift for you,” he said.
I have lots of squash that will be in our meals for the next few months.
Lord, help us to be just as generous with your gifts to us.
