Service Team

Several college girls from Pennsylvania decided to spend
some of their vacation time visiting Guatemala.
They asked us to find a project for them to do.
The classrooms at Bezaleel needed a fresh look so painting would be their task.
The students had exams all week in the auditorium
so they wouldn’t use the classrooms.
We bonded quickly with these women when we met them.
We posed for a picture at SEMILLA
where we spent the first night together before traveling to Alta Verapaz.
Jessica Martin, Chole Skylakon, Kelsei Good, and Alysia Fox standing with us.
The women painting the ceiling of the classrooms.
Students had exams scheduled every day closely monitored by the teachers.
The director, Hector Achoa,  resting with some students.
Oscar Choc Choc, the maintenance worker,
cut grass around the school building with a machete.
Hard sweaty work
We plan to take the service team on the coffee tour and to see Semuc Champey.
Than we will travel to Guatemala City and Antiqua before they fly to the States.
