Filling Up Our Cups

EMM related missionaries from Central America gathered together last week in El Tule, Chiquimula, Guatemala for our annual retreat.  Swimming an air conditioned room cooled us down from the intense heat in the area.

Our EMM Central American Missionary Retreat included Nancy Marshall from Belize, Harlan and Janelle Horst family, Dwain and Audrey Livengood, and Matt Keiser from Honduras, and Greg and Helaine Walton family and us from Guatemala.  We also had two child care persons and Cindy Witmer, a signing translator.  Steve Shank and Darrell Hostetter from EMM accompanied us in this retreat.

Many stories and experiences were shared around the table.

Together we encouraged and prayed for each other.  We praise God for safe travel to and from retreat for all participants.  The days fled by too quickly.  The input at the retreat continues to speak into our hearts and lives.  We returned to our work with new vision and a desire to portray Christ’s image more clearly in our daily relationships.
