The Wedding Celebration

The bride getting her veil put in place.
The veil hides her pretty face.
Bride entering the church building with her parents.
Little helpers
The groom entering with his family and friends.
Meeting for the veil to be thrown back.
A crowd looking on from the outside.
Saying, ”I will.”
The couple leading the guests to the feast at the groom’s house.
Church benches needed to be carried to the reception.
The path got a bit treacherous.
Wiping off the sweat

Cocoa drink served in large gourds was much appreciated.
A delicious drink.  The quests sat in a cool spot decorated with greens.
Gifts were given before we all shared the feast.
The new couple sharing their meal in the Kekchi tradition.
Those sweet memories of our wedding still come back to us.
