A Rest in December

We received news that Phyllis’ brother, Bob Bomberger,
was dying after months of struggling with cancer.
We canceled some commitments and packed our bags for a trip to the cold North.
Picture taken on our last visit with Bob and Joyce in July.
We touched base with friends in Guatemala City while waiting for our flights.
David and Regina White with their charming baby Cruz
Catching up with the Bomberger Family at their Christmas meal
Snapshot with our daughter Rose who created many delightful memories for us.
Phyllis even got to put a puzzle together.
Singing Christmas carols with the Groff family.
Galen’s aging father and stepmother Evie
Driving in the snow to New York to catch our return flight
Some Brooklyn city streets were blocked.
We ended up driving to Washington DC because our flight from NY was cancelled.
We’re back in Guatemala in our warmer home setting.

  1. Nice seeing pictures of your family, etc. Glad you could spend time with your Dad, also Galen. Nice to also enjoy some of our cold weather up north here but thankfully we didn`t get the snow here in DC and Md. where I live like we did last winter. Some is ok but when you have no where to shovel the snow to it becomes real challenging.
    Enjoy the warm Guatemala weather.
    Blessings,
    Anna

Oh Brrrr! It was so cold, wasn't it? I find it surprising that we ever "got used to it" when we lived in PA. It was so cold! Welcome back to the tropics!
Your pictures look great. Thanks for sharing them. I love to hear what you are doing.
Grace and peace to you both.
